My wife discovered a local company discarding a large collection of building materials in front of a local residence. Though some of the materials had some slight damage, the overall quality of the doors, shelf units, and more was worth the repeated trips to salvage a share of the drop.
Corner Shelf Units with Lighted Bridge Shelf
One of the projects to come out of the massive roadside haul was a custom wall unit for my office. It was built of two matching (opposing) ceiling-height shelf units. They were then connected with a third piece, a shelf across the top of the wall. Lights were then placed in the unit, along with a transparent portion of the shelf, to allow the light to reach more of the unit and wall.
Gaming Table with Removable Panels and Storage
Originally constructed as a storage unit with an upper deck for activities, or even bearing human weight using cushions on top. Meant for one of my kids room, there are four panels that pull away from the top, allowing access to a storage layer, with a larger space underneath that.
